Seeing Multiply is closing up for good on Dec the 1st, I started checking my files, exactly what for I don't really know; just restless and fiddling with files that had been linked to writing Blogs I guess. I came across this piece ... If I had posted it before, I am not apologising, I still find it funny looking at it again.

Ten of The Best Witty and Funny Church Signs ~

  1. Notice in a church parking lot. Trespassers will be baptised. Church Salvation
  2. If you can't sleep, don't count sheep. Talk to the Shepherd.
  3. Do not wait for the hearse to take you to church.
  4. How will you spend eternity - Smoking or Non-smoking?
  5. Fight truth decay -- study the Bible daily.
  6. No God - No Peace. Know God - Know Peace.
  7. Free Trip to heaven. Details Inside!
  8. When the restaurant next to a chapel put out a big sign with red letters that said, "Open Sundays," the chapel reciprocated with its own message: "We are open on Sundays, too."
  9. Come work for the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world.
  10. In the dark? Follow the Son.

Bet it’s not just this one lady who lives with whatsername …

An elderly lady was invited to an old friend's house for dinner one evening. She was impressed by the way her lady friend preceded every request to her husband with endearing terms such as : Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, it seems they were still very much in love.

While the husband was in the living room, her lady friend learned over to her hostess to say: 'I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your husband all those loving
names.'

The old lady hung her head, 'I have to tell you the truth,' she said, 'his name slipped my mind about 10 years ago, and I am scared to ask the cranky old sod what his name is.'

My travel Plans

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone else.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there. How great is that?

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to friends, family and work. No luggage needed.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm. I was alone a lot there.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART!
Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the
year. You can do your bit by remembering to send an e-mail to at least one unstable person.

My job is done!!!

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

And from one unstable person to another, I hope everyone in your head is happy – we are all doing well in mine. ;0)

Catholic Vocabulary

This information is for Catholics only.  It must not be divulged to non-Catholics.  The less they know about our rituals and top secret code words, the better off they are.

AMEN: The only part of a prayer that everyone knows.

BULLETIN: Your receipt for attending Mass.

CHOIR: A group of people whose singing allows the rest of the Parish to lip-sync.

HOLY WATER: A liquid whose chemical formula is H2OLY.  Created by boiling the HELL out of it.

HYMN: A song of praise usually sung in a key three octaves higher than that of the congregation's range.

RECESSIONAL HYMN: The last song at Mass often sung a little more quietly, since most of the people have already left.

INCENSE: Holy Smoke!

JESUITS: An order of priests known for their ability to find colleges with good basketball teams.

JONAH: The original 'Jaws' story.

JUSTICE: When kids have kids of their own.

KYRIE ELEISON: The only Greek words that most Catholics can recognize besides gyros and baklava. (for you non-Catholics it means Lord have mercy)

MAGI: The most famous trio to attend a baby shower.

MANGER: Where Mary gave birth to Jesus because Joseph wasn't covered by an HMO. (The Bible's way of showing us that holiday travel has always been rough.)

PEW: A medieval torture device still found in Catholic churches.

PROCESSION: The ceremonial formation at the beginning of Mass consisting of altar servers, the celebrant, and late parishioners looking for seats.

RECESSIONAL: The ceremonial procession at the conclusion of Mass led by parishioners trying to beat the crowd to the parking lot.

RELICS: People who have been going to Mass for so long, they actually know when to sit, kneel, and stand.

TEN COMMANDMENTS: The most important Top Ten list not given by David Letterman.

USHERS: The only people in the parish who don't know the seating capacity of a pew.

Little known facts about the Catholic Church in  Las Vegas :

There are more churches in  Las Vegas than casinos. During Sunday services at the offertory, some worshippers contribute casino chips as opposed to cash.. Some are sharing their winnings - some are hoping to win. Since they get chips from so many different casinos, and they are worth money, the Catholic churches are required to send all the chips into the diocese for sorting. Once sorted into the respective casino chips, one junior priest takes the chips and makes the rounds to the casinos turning chips into cash. And he, of course, is known as The Chip Monk.
